With an array of young talent and a slew of arbitration cases coming this winter, the Baltimore Orioles have a lot on their plate this offseason — not to mention, the contracts of Mark Trumbo and Matt Wieters to consider, with both players potentially becoming free agents.

The core strengths of the Orioles are their ability to hit for power and making plays in the field. Behind stars like Chris Davis, Adam Jones, Manny Machado and Trumbo, the Orioles hit the most home runs in the league.  As a very sound defensive bunch, the Orioles finished sixth in fielding percentage and had a long list of highlight reel plays.  Using their power bats, strong defense and timely pitching, the Orioles reached 89 wins and an appearance in the American League Wild Card game.

For the Orioles, it’s the third playoff appearance in five years.  To continue this string of success, the Orioles will need to be busy this offseason not only dealing with arbitration cases but adding depth to the starting pitching.  They also can’t afford to lose both Trumbo and Wieters.  As a team that relies on home runs, they need players in the lineup that hit them.

Continue the story for the most important offseason moves the Orioles will need to make this offseason, along with a few exciting speculative adds.
